Awareness Programs

It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child. When the challenging task of raising children is supported by the community, it benefits both the families and the society in which they belong.

However, most families of children with special needs feel isolated, marginalized and sometimes discriminated on. This often stem from the lack of understanding of the challenges that the children and their families experience daily. It is therefore one of the goals of Espesyal Pinoy to raise awareness on the various developmental/neurological conditions of our children. This endeavor gives the community an opportunity to learn and change their perception and our ultimate goal is to partner with them in enriching the lives of our children.

Various awareness programs have been launched since 2007. Espesyal Pinoy used art, music and lectures to reach out to diverse groups of people in Singapore. Here are the awareness programs we embarked on over the years:

  • Art With A Heart (December 2007) – An art exhibit tie-up with Kid’s Cove Parent Support Group
